A Japanese coffee shop and lunch spot that opened in spring 2020 and quickly became a Greenpoint essential. The cooking is healthy but hearty, built on Japanese fermentation, and there's seating indoors, outdoors and in a garden.

At lunch, get a bento box — purple rice, fermented vegetables and pork katsu or chicken karaage. In the morning, the egg sandwich on a brioche bun and a coffee are enough reason to stop.

Editor’s tip

Come at noon on a weekday for a bento and take it to the garden.
