Andrew Bellucci spent some thirty years making pies at places like Lombardi's, and in 2022 he brought his hand-shucked clam pie to this 30th Avenue storefront, owned by Matthew Katakis. Bellucci died in 2023 after a heart attack he suffered while making one of those pies. The shop carried on, and in 2026 the 50 Top Pizza list ranked it 36th in the country.

The clam pie is the reason to plan ahead: hand-shucked clams and garlic butter on a crisp-bottomed crust, ordered at least a day in advance. Walk in for the plain slice, which carries sauce both under and over the cheese, or the silky vodka slice.

Editor’s tip

Call a day or two ahead for the clam pie, and grab a plain slice while you wait for it.
