IllustrationA new natural wine bar on Clermont Avenue with an unusual obsession: bread. On almost every table, bottles of Sicilian orange or Spanish red sit beside hunks of house-made sourdough with chili honey butter, or comically tall sourdough-discard crackers standing up in little glasses.
It works as a first stop before dinner on DeKalb or as a nightcap after. End with a sourdough brown butter chocolate chip cookie and a glass of chilled red, and take a semolina baguette or a loaf of sourdough home.
Editor’s tip
Order the bread first, and ask whether there is a loaf left to take home.
