Border Town started in 2020 selling tacos out of a parking lot and built a cult following for its flour tortillas — Sonoran wheat and pork lard, soft and blistered. In January 2026 it finally got a home: a corner restaurant with a bar at Nassau Avenue and Humboldt Street, in half of the old Busy Bee Polish grocery.

Start with the carne con chile taco and the frijoles y queso, then order larger: pork ribs in salsa verde with beans and rice, or the mushroom al pastor gringa. The tequila cocktails are strong; the Cadillac margarita is the one to know.

Editor’s tip

Come right at opening or after 9pm to skip the wait, and order a round of tacos before anything else.
