The team behind Llama Inn kept their Withers Street corner and turned it, in 2026, into a South American tavern: white tablecloths and dark wood where the hanging plants used to be, and the much-loved rooftop still upstairs.

The menu stays seafood-leaning, with heartier plates like a bone-in short rib with fries. The best bite so far is the grilled potato bread with a melting pat of cultured butter. It is a good choice for a relaxed, grown-up date night, and reservations are still easy to come by.

Editor’s tip

Ask about the rooftop on a warm night, and order the potato bread whatever else you choose.
