GREENPOINT, BROOKLYN

Café Little Armenia

A chef's one-man Armenian supper club in north Greenpoint — seasonal prix fixe and Armenian wine.

Chef Ararat El Rawi ran pop-ups for years before opening this small room at the top of Manhattan Avenue in early 2024. It feels like being invited home: vintage family photographs on the walls, a few tables, and the chef himself cooking, hosting and pouring, one course at a time.

The format is a seasonal prix fixe that walks through the Armenian table — beet dishes bright with herbs, lamb meatballs, flatbreads and dips, slow-cooked stews — paired with Armenian wines, one of the world's oldest wine cultures. It is not fast and isn't meant to be. Book an evening with nowhere else to go.

Editor’s tip

Give it two and a half hours and take the wine pairing — the chef will tell you the story of each bottle.
