The Williamsburg sibling of the East Village institution founded by Rivka in 1983, still owned and run by the same family. The Wythe Avenue location has a garden of tropical plants.

Brunch is the famous meal — halloumi eggs with harissa, pancakes, granola — but the braised tagines, vegetable couscous and house-made bread make it just as good at dinner. Finish with Moroccan mint tea poured from a vintage pot.

Editor’s tip

Ask for the garden, and order the halloumi eggs at brunch.
