FLATIRON & NOMAD, MANHATTAN

Eleven Madison Park

Three Michelin stars in an Art Deco hall facing Madison Square Park — a vegetable-led tasting menu, with meat now back on it.

The dining room is the attraction before anything arrives: a vast Art Deco hall at the base of the old Metropolitan Life building, with ceilings that seem a block high and tall windows looking straight into the trees of Madison Square Park. Daniel Humm's restaurant has held three Michelin stars for years and runs one long tasting menu.

In 2021 it went fully plant-based, a famous gamble; in October 2025 it brought fish and meat back to some courses while keeping a vegetable-led core. Either way, this is the special-occasion dinner that defines special occasion in New York. Book well ahead, dress for the room, and let it take the evening.

Editor’s tip

Ask for a table by the windows and come in daylight first, so you see the park light change over the meal.
