A comfortable kitchen and bar on Broadway, in the space that was once Dressler and run by that restaurant's former chef. The room is nicely appointed with chairs you'll want to stay in, and the staff are good at steering you to a bottle.

Brunch is the easy way in: poached eggs, duck pastrami hash, truffle egg toast. In the evening it is a calm, grown-up alternative to the louder places nearby, a few blocks from the Williamsburg Bridge.

Editor’s tip

Book weekend brunch and order the duck pastrami hash for the table.
