IllustrationMissy Robbins's second restaurant after Lilia sits at the foot of a waterfront tower on Kent Avenue, a few steps from Domino Park. Where Lilia is big and bright, Misi is darker and more focused: pasta and vegetables, no roasts, and an open kitchen working with calm precision behind a long counter.
The pastas are the reason to come — springy fettuccine with black pepper, tortelli that spill warm mascarpone, ricotta-filled occhi with lemon zest — but don't skip the vegetables: butter beans with kale and rosemary, grilled vegetables under olive oil and mint, and the ricotta toast that everyone orders. The counter seats are the best in the house.
Editor’s tip
Ask for the counter, order two pastas and two vegetable plates for two, then walk it off in Domino Park.
