IllustrationFrom the people behind Rolo's in Ridgewood, Radio Bakery takes classic bakery items and pushes them somewhere new. Everything goes to the counter on a first-come, first-served basis — no pre-orders, no wholesale — so there is always a line on India Street, and it moves.
The rotating special croissant is the one to chase, and it sells out early. The chocolate croissant has chocolate both inside and worked into the dough. Get coffee and walk the few blocks to the water.
Editor’s tip
Go early on a weekday for the special croissant, then take it to the India Street pier.
