Dolly's
Purple-sprinkled ube morning buns and a cheesesteak egg sandwich worth the early line.

IllustrationA small bakery on Rockaway Avenue at the eastern edge of Bed-Stuy, where a line of bun enthusiasts usually forms before the door opens. It used to be Bread & Butter, which made its name on social media with a purple, sprinkle-covered ube morning bun; Dolly's kept the bun and built around it.
Get the ube bun — flaky outside, moist and earthy inside — and a breakfast sandwich. The one to know is a cheesesteak egg sandwich on sesame milk bread with shredded beef, griddled onions, soft eggs, house cheese sauce and provolone, served with A1 aioli and a hash brown. Huge chocolate chip cookies are best warm; in the afternoon there is rotating soft serve.
