IllustrationLevant on Smith is a small French bistro with Mediterranean touches on the corner of Smith and Butler Streets, opened in October 2021 by the team behind Verde across the street. The name means "to rise," like the sun. It seats about 30, with a short bar at the back.
Dinner runs on a three-course prix fixe, brunch is French omelets and croque madame, and the bar is serious about martinis. On Thanksgiving it does three courses with turkey, beef bourguignon or salmon.
