FINANCIAL DISTRICT, MANHATTAN
Saga
A two-star tasting menu sixty-three floors above Pine Street, starting with a drink on the terrace.
See current Google rating & reviews ↗Sixty-three floors up in 70 Pine Street, a landmark Financial District tower, Saga starts with a drink on the terrace, lower Manhattan spread out below, before you are led into one of several small dining rooms of peach and emerald velvet, green marble and carved stone. It holds two Michelin stars.
The tasting menu is polished, seasonal and quietly luxurious. It ends with a Moroccan tea service and a spread of small sweets, kept as a tribute to the late chef James Kent, who opened the restaurant. Of the city's high-altitude dining rooms, it is the one we would choose for a proposal.
Editor’s tip
Book the earliest seating to see the terrace in daylight.
