Sunset Park's Fifth Avenue is a Mexican main street, and the El Bronco truck has commanded the corner at 37th since 2008. There is a sit-down restaurant on Fourth Avenue too, but the truck is the one with the crowd, the late hours and the better mood.
The tacos are small, on doubled corn tortillas, and the right move is to order several kinds: al pastor, cabeza, lengua, and the birria with a cup of consommé for dipping. Cover everything in the green tomatillo salsa and eat standing on the sidewalk, which is how these taste best.
