MIDTOWN, MANHATTAN
A Concert at Carnegie Hall
An evening in the 1891 hall on 57th Street, where the upper tiers are cheaper and the sound is famous.

Carnegie Hall, on Seventh Avenue at 57th Street, was built by Andrew Carnegie and opened in 1891, and its main auditorium is one of the world's great rooms for music. The hall presents its own season of orchestras, recitalists, jazz and popular artists across three stages: the grand Stern Auditorium, the smaller Zankel Hall below street level and the intimate Weill Recital Hall. Its 2026–27 season includes nearly 170 performances.
Buy directly from the hall's website or box office. For the full experience, choose a visiting orchestra or a major recitalist in the Stern Auditorium, and consider the upper tiers: they are cheaper, and the sound up there is famous. Zankel Hall is the place for new music and jazz at lower prices. Arrive early to see the hall fill. Stay for the encore; the applause in this room is part of the show.
