BUSHWICK, BROOKLYN
A Night at House of Yes
A Bushwick club where aerialists fly above the dance floor and the dress code is your best costume.

House of Yes is a Bushwick nightclub opened in 2015 by artists Kae Burke and Anya Sapozhnikova and their partners, and it is closer to a circus than a typical club. Aerialists hang from the ceiling over the dance floor, performers wander through the crowd, and the calendar mixes themed dance parties with cabaret, burlesque and variety shows that start in the early evening. Costumes are encouraged and consent is taken seriously; the house rules are posted and enforced.
Buy tickets on the club's calendar, since most nights sell out and prices rise closer to the date; it is sometimes closed for private events, so check first. Early-evening shows are a gentler introduction, while the late dance parties run into the morning. Dress for the theme rather than for a velvet rope. The Jefferson Street L stop is a short walk away, and you will not be the only one in sequins on the train home.
