1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge

A hotel grown inside Brooklyn Bridge Park — reclaimed timber, harbor light, skyline windows.

1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge stands directly inside Brooklyn Bridge Park, and its whole design argument is that the park should continue indoors: reclaimed timber, living greenery, raw concrete softened by linen, and rainfall showers behind glass. The sustainability positioning is the brand, but the materials genuinely are the pleasure of the place.

The location does the rest. River-facing rooms look across the harbor to lower Manhattan and the Statue of Liberty, the park's piers and lawns begin at the door, and Harriet's Rooftop upstairs holds one of the best skyline terraces in the city. Few New York hotels put this much of New York in the window.

Editor’s tip

Pay the difference for a river view — sunrise over the harbor from bed is the room's main event.
