F&F Restaurant & Bar

The Franks' full-service tavern on Court Street: new pies, shared plates and a cellar, a few doors from F&F Pizzeria.

Frank Castronovo and Frank Falcinelli, the two Franks behind Frankies 457 Spuntino, opened F&F Pizzeria as a slice shop in a converted garage on Court Street. F&F Restaurant & Bar, a few doors along, is its first full-service sibling: a warm, wood-paneled tavern hung with paintings by Julian Schnabel and Ron Gorchov, with white tablecloths, low lamps and a long bar.

The pies here are their own, not the slice shop's, and the rest of the menu is made for sharing, alongside proper cocktails and bottles from the Franks' cellar. It works for a birthday dinner or a nightcap at the bar, and the original slice shop is just up the block if you want a slice on the way home.

Editor’s tip

Start with a drink at the bar, then pick up a slice at F&F Pizzeria up the block on the way out.
