Gabriel Kreuther
Gabriel Kreuther's Alsatian dining room on Bryant Park — crystal storks overhead and a sturgeon-and-sauerkraut tart on the plate.
See current Google rating & reviews ↗Alsace comes to the edge of Bryant Park. Gabriel Kreuther, who was born in Alsace, opened his restaurant in the base of the Grace Building in 2015; reclaimed timber beams recall Alsatian farmhouses, and forty-two crystal storks hang from the curved ceiling, flying east toward his hometown. It holds two Michelin stars.
The dining room offers a three-course and a four-course prix fixe, and a chef's tasting menu of the kitchen's best-known dishes. The ones to know are Alsatian: the smoked sturgeon and sauerkraut tart, and tarte flambée. A cheese trolley makes the rounds, and the wine list leans hard on Alsace.
Editor’s tip
Order the sturgeon tart, and save room for the cheese trolley.
