Jai Sang Ma opened at the end of 2025 on the corner of Broadway and 82nd Street, and it is built for the hours after dinner. The room is dressed as a Thai village food stall under a night sky — lanterns strung through blossoming branches, shelves of old cassette tapes — and it fills up toward midnight, when live music often takes over the corner and keeps going until closing.

The menu is drinking food, small plates meant to be shared: chicken wings dusted with larb spice, nam khao tod (crispy rice tossed with sour sausage), boat noodles, fried fish balls and kanom jeeb dumplings, with cold Singha alongside. Reviewers note that it is cash only and that prices run higher than at the lunch counters nearby, which is the cost of the setting. Use it as a late second stop after dinner on Woodside Avenue, or come straight here when you want the night to run long.

Editor’s tip

Come after 10pm, order three or four plates for two, and bring cash.
