IllustrationIn the small triangular room at 86-08 Whitney Avenue that once held Deksen, Na Rath opened in 2024 with a menu aimed squarely at Thai diners. Its owners also run a florist and event business, and it shows: the dining room is crowded with flowers and warm, twinkling lights, closer to a garden party than a Queens storefront. The restaurant carries Thai Select certification, the Thai government's mark for restaurants cooking the country's food the traditional way.
Most of the menu is served all-you-can-eat and cooked to order — whole fish, tiger prawns, crab, larb, tom yum and curries — with a premium tier for the seafood, and a khanom jeen rice-noodle buffet at lunch that Tasting Table singled out in 2025. For two, the move is to order slowly: the steamed fish and the tom yum first, then whatever the next table is eating.
Editor’s tip
Pace yourselves on the all-you-can-eat menu: start with the steamed fish and tom yum before moving to the prawns.
