One White Street fills a historic three-story townhouse at the corner of White Street and West Broadway in Tribeca, and it is about as close as Manhattan gets to a farm restaurant. Chef Austin Johnson, who earned a Michelin star running the kitchen at Frenchie in Paris, opened it in 2021 with master sommelier Dustin Wilson, and the menu is shaped by produce grown year-round at Rigor Hill Farm in Columbia County, New York. The ground floor has the easy feel of a neighborhood bistro, while the floors above are quieter and more formal, and the old house glows warmly on a winter evening. The restaurant has earned Michelin recognition, and it remains one of downtown's most quietly romantic rooms.

Featured by the YouTuber New York Turk in 2025, One White Street offers two ways in. An à la carte menu of ingredient-driven, globally inspired dishes runs alongside a six-course chef's tasting menu that follows the season and is offered seven days a week. Early reviews singled out cheddar gougères with caviar and braised lamb with black garlic purée, though the menu shifts constantly with the farm's harvest. Wine is a real strength, with a list overseen by wine director Suzanne DeStio, and the cocktails are taken just as seriously. Book through Resy. A few plates and a glass of wine make a lovely low-key dinner, while the tasting menu is the move for an anniversary or a celebration.

Ask what came in from Rigor Hill Farm that week and build your à la carte order around it.
