SOHO, MANHATTAN
The Corner Store
Catch Hospitality's dressed-up American corner spot in SoHo, famous for savory martinis and hard-won reservations.
See current Google rating & reviews ↗The Corner Store is an upscale take on a classic American restaurant, set in a five-story building on the landmark corner of Houston Street and West Broadway in SoHo. It comes from Catch Hospitality Group, whose co-founder Eugene Remm has said he wanted something more intimate than Catch, and its kitchen team includes veterans of Catch New York and Pastis. Inside, the lighting is low and amber, the walls are lined with photographs and large framed mirrors, and the seating is plush. It quickly became one of the hardest reservations in Manhattan, helped by visits from Taylor Swift, and the room hums with a dressed-up, special-night energy from the first seating to the last.
Start at the bar, where the martini menu is written on vintage glass and the signatures are savory: a Sour Cream and Onion martini made with cream-washed gin, and a Tomato martini built on tomato water. From the kitchen, the comfort-food classics are dressed up: five-cheese pizza rolls, a Wagyu French dip, roasted Maine lobster frites and a Corner Store Caesar with toasted bagel croutons. The Corner Store was featured by the YouTuber New York Turk in 2025. Reservations open on Resy about two weeks ahead and go quickly, so set a notification for cancellations; walk-ins are generally not accepted for tables, though bar seats occasionally open up for the lucky.
