Blue Box Café by Daniel Boulud

The Blue Box Café sits on the sixth floor of Tiffany & Co.'s Fifth Avenue flagship, the store known as The Landmark, and it lets you do what Holly Golightly only did from the sidewalk: actually have breakfast at Tiffany's. The café is run with chef Daniel Boulud, whose name is now on the door, and the cooking is light, seasonal and French-accented, a polished take on New York classics. The famous Tiffany blue sets the tone, and the experience is pure Fifth Avenue theater, done with real care. It makes a memorable morning or afternoon for a birthday, a visiting parent or anyone who has ever stood outside those windows with a coffee and wondered what it would be like upstairs.

Featured by the YouTuber New York Turk in 2025, the café is built around three experiences: Breakfast at Tiffany's, an afternoon Tea at Tiffany's, and an all-day casual menu. Breakfast has been served as set prix fixe menus rather than à la carte, and the afternoon tea follows the classic format of tea, savories, scones with cream and jam, and an assortment of sweets. Reservations are made through Resy and have typically opened about 30 days ahead, so plan early if a particular date matters. Parties of up to twelve can book the private dining room for a customized prix fixe. Leave time before or after to wander the renovated store, which is as much an attraction as the meal itself.
