MIDTOWN, MANHATTAN
The Grill
The old Four Seasons room in the Seagram Building — tableside martinis, a prime rib trolley and Baked Alaska.
See current Google rating & reviews ↗Inside the Seagram Building, in the space where the Four Seasons coined the power lunch from 1959 to 2016, Major Food Group runs a dark-wood room lit like a stage. Families toast graduations, deals get celebrated, and the cocktail shakers never stop.
Make it theater. Martinis are poured tableside from a startling height into enormous glasses; the crab Louis is tossed in a wooden bowl; prime rib arrives on a trolley. The crab cake is almost all crab under a crust of potato, the sardines are the city's most compelling, and the evening ends with Baked Alaska.
