DUMBO, BROOKLYN
Theater at St. Ann's Warehouse
International theater inside an 1860 tobacco warehouse, with the Brooklyn Bridge lit up outside the door.

St. Ann's Warehouse began in 1980 as Arts at St. Ann's, presenting performances in a Brooklyn Heights church, and now occupies a theater built inside the walls of the 1860 Tobacco Warehouse in Brooklyn Bridge Park, beneath the Brooklyn Bridge. It is the city's home for ambitious international theater companies and American experimental artists, in a flexible space that can be reconfigured for each production. The fall 2026 season includes Kramer/Fauci, Emma Rice's Tristan & Yseult and Saigon.
Book on the theater's website, ideally early, since runs are limited and well reviewed shows sell out; in-person sales open an hour before each performance. Arrive in time for a drink at Bar Jolie in the lobby and a few minutes in the garden, which is open to park visitors. Afterward, walk out to the water for the bridge and the Manhattan skyline at night, a few steps from the door.
