Where to Buy It in New York
Cameras, sneakers, LEGO, a Yankees cap, a warm coat for a cold week: the store to head for, whatever you came to New York to buy.

Most visitors arrive with a short list: a camera body or a lens, a pair of sneakers, a toy promised to someone at home, a jar of something from Zabar's. This is the store for each, picked because it's the flagship, the specialist, or the one New Yorkers themselves use.
Midtown's Fifth Avenue and Rockefeller Center hold most of the brand flagships, close enough to walk between. The specialists are scattered: B&H on Ninth Avenue, the record shops in Chelsea and Rockefeller Center, the food shops from the Upper West Side down to the Lower East Side.

Good to know
Where to Buy It in New York, answered
Is B&H Photo open on Saturdays?
No. B&H closes early on Friday, stays closed all day Saturday, and closes for major Jewish holidays, Thanksgiving and Christmas; online checkout also pauses for the Sabbath. Check its holiday list before you go. Source
What should I know before buying in the Diamond District?
The district's Buyer's Bill of Rights says you're entitled to a receipt for any purchase over $20 and to know the jeweler's refund and exchange policy before you buy. A grading report gives an independent assessment of a stone. Source
Can I return something I bought in a New York City store?
Stores must post their refund policy. If a store posts none, city rules let you return unused items within 30 days for cash or credit. Prices must be shown on the item or on a sign. Complaints go to the city's Department of Consumer and Worker Protection, or call 311. Source
Every store here was confirmed open, at this address, on its own website on 2026-10-27. Shops move and close; check before you make a special trip.
