Copinette is a French-American bistro on First Avenue at 50th Street, opened in 2018 in the space where Copain served Midtown East for some 45 years. Time Out notes that a scene of The French Connection was filmed outside the old Copain.

Inside it is a soft, chandeliered room, relaxed rather than formal, and a handy dinner near the UN and Beekman Place. On Thanksgiving it serves only a set turkey dinner, with branzino or ribeye as alternatives.
