Chef Angie Mar's Le B sits at West 12th and West 4th Streets in the West Village. The Michelin Guide describes a luxurious room in sapphire tones with velvet banquettes and white tablecloths, and the restaurant's own site places a Chef's Table for two to eight guests just off the kitchen, with one seating a night.

The kitchen pairs classic French cooking with Eastern influences. The current menu lists pâté en croûte, Dover sole "Véfour" with caviar beurre blanc and duck glazed with local goldenrod honey, and seasonal tasting menus run alongside the à la carte. Le Burger, a 45-day-aged blend with Fromage d'Affinois and Bordeaux onions, is served only at the bar.

Editor’s tip

Tables are released four weeks out on OpenTable, and the bar, the only place Le Burger is served, takes walk-ins.
