Yume Ga Arukara started in 2017 as a tiny udon counter in Cambridge, Massachusetts, run by Tsuyoshi Nishioka and Juan Carlos Vidal, and landed on Bon Appétit's Hot 10 list the next year. Its New York shop opened in October 2026 on Fifth Avenue at 30th Street.

The menu is udon and nothing else: noodles made in house, served hot or cold, with or without beef, spicy or plain. The niku udon with beef is the one to order, cold in a fish broth or hot in a chicken broth, with an onsen egg on top.

Editor’s tip

Order the cold niku udon with an onsen egg, and add extra noodles if you're hungry.
